Polaris Office Tips: Connect with Different Clouds!

Are you using Polaris Office on your phone but all your files are stored in OneDrive, Google Drive, or Dropbox? Here’s a tip.

Not only can Polaris Office view and edit documents from third-party office suites, but it can also connect to major third-party cloud services to access your files that are not stored in your Polaris Drive.

It’s very easy to do and here’s how:

Step 1: In the ‘Polaris Office + PDF’ app, tap the button in the top left corner (or slide to the right from the left edge of the screen) to open the menu.


Step 2: Navigate down to the bottom of the menu and you will see a list of ‘Other cloud storages’ (NOTE: if you want to learn how to disconnect from a cloud storage, scroll down to “How to Disconnect from a Cloud”)

Step 3: Tap ‘Add Cloud Storage’ and a prompt will open showing a list of various cloud services.


Step 4: Tap the cloud service you want to connect to and follow the appropriate steps for log in for that service.


Step 5: Voila! Your Polaris Office is now connected to a new cloud storage and displayed in the ‘Other cloud storages’ list.

You can now access all your files in that cloud from the Polaris Office app!

How to Disconnect from a Cloud:

Step 1: In your list of ‘Other cloud storages’, tap and hold the cloud storage you want to disconnect (NOTE: disconnecting Google Drive requires you to delete the Google account that is linked to the Google Drive in the Settings of your device)

Step 2: Then, tap ‘Yes’ when the app prompts you to ‘Delete’ the cloud storage.

Step 3: You’re done!
